Situated in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa, there’s been a lot going on in the Manyoni Game Reserve lately.
In addition to the reserve changing its name from the Zululand Rhino Reserve to Manyoni Game Reserve, other developments include the ongoing construction of Rhino Sands Safari Camp, which has the whole Rhino River Lodge team very excited. Imagine a classic yesteryear safari, but in the 21st century. This is the inspiration behind Rhino Sands.
Owner and manager at Rhino River Lodge, Shannon, shared a little more about what’s in store for the new camp in an interview with TravelMassive:
“Rhino Sands Safari Camp is breaking ground later in the year in the Zululand Rhino Reserve (now Manyoni Game Reserve). In this digital age, we’ve often seen people disconnect with their safari experience, spending time in front of a screen instead of engaged with the environment and people around them. The new camp is harking back to the romantic days of safari. An intimate experience (only 8 guests max) with a focus on connecting with the environment and others. I won’t give too much away now, but we saw something missing from the safari experiences in our area, and we are creating a new brand to fill that gap.”
Construction is going well and showing to be the foundations of something really special. The Rhino River Lodge team can’t wait to share the finished product with you. Watch this space!
