Wildlife Wonderment in the Masai Mara

The Great Wildebeest Migration is in full swing, with wildebeest and zebra covering the Mara plains as far as the eye can see. It’s all action, with something going on in every corner and wildlife dotted here and there jostling for the best spot. The river crossings continue in full force with an estimated 1,000 wildebeest crossing the Mara River in an hour. It’s all go, go, go here in Kenya!

The big cats are thoroughly enjoying themselves, looking fat, relaxed and happy as food is in abundance, and just a paw’s reach away. Let’s not forget the crocodiles either who have had some tasty snatches, with an average of two or three wildebeest being taken during a crossing. Recent Cottar’s Safari Camp guests are on the edge of their seats as they watch one of the greatest wildlife spectacles in the world unfold in front of their eyes.
