Wildlife viewing is excellent and the guides at all the lodges are well-trained by Conservation Lower Zambezi. Predators to be seen are lion, leopard, wild dog and hyena. Antelopes include Waterbuck, Impala, Kudu and Puku. African buffalo and elephant are present in large herds; they love the river and can be seen crossing onto the islands and over to Zimbabwe.

Walking Safaris, canoeing Safaris, day and night drive safaris. All safaris are taken by our well qualified, knowledgeable guides. The camps are equipped with game vehicles that seat 4 to 9 guests. Guides may end off the safaris with a refreshment as they watch the African sunset.
The Zambezi River is also famous for the most spectacular fresh water fishing in the world. Tiger fish (Hydrocynus vittatus, Latin for river dog), a relative of the infamous piranha prove an exciting catch for any fisherman. These viscious predators can grow to 15kg/33lb and are certainly a prize to behold. The best time to catch Tiger fish is between September and December.
Up to two activities per day are included in the rate and comprise the following:
•Game Drives –with a maximum of 4 guests per vehicle;
•Walking Safaris into the Kulefu woodlands and surrounding areas;
•Canoeing Safaris along the banks of the Zambezi River;
•Boating and fishing on the Zambezi River;
•Bird Watching - approximately 500 species of birds in the Lower Zambezi National Park

Accommodation consists of 4 traditional safari tents, approximately 500 sq ft in size, positioned on a raised wooden deck. The tents are generously spaced along the Zambezi River bank and the Mushika flood plain, allowing the game to wonder around the camp freely.
There is an exciting family unit which is essentially two of the tents back to back allowing for a two bedroom, two bathroom family tent perfect for groups with young children.
