Throughout the travel industry there has been a call for a fair system of recognition and reward for the unprecedented high standard of safari properties. Having been part of the safari industry since birth, Henry Hallward knows it like a hippo knows a water hole. Leading his trustworthy team, Henry has heeded this call and created a reliable platform for travel professionals to share their views on excellence in the industry.
Henry started his own business as a mobile safari guide in 1993 in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia. In 1995 he founded Tongabezi Expeditions in Zambia with three partners which operated expedition support, canoe safaris, mobile safaris and tented safari camps on the Zambezi River, Kafue National Park and South Luangwa National Park. Returning to the UK to educate his daughters in 1998 he continues to work within the African industry and has just completed a chairmanship of ATTA - the African Tourism and Travel Association, representing over 400 key businesses in the safari industry.
